Sanjib Das: From a Tribal School to Mercedes-Benz

Sanjib Das's parents couldn't afford formal schooling. His village had no proper school. Both problems were solved when SSVM opened in Hendaljuri.

Sanjib attended from the very beginning through Class X, graduating with excellent results. After school, VVKI supported his college admission and helped him find welding work in Ghatsila to earn pocket money. After Class XII, he saw a newspaper ad for a job, went for the interview, and got it.

Today he is a permanent employee at Daimler, where he works as a line operator on the electrical systems of Mercedes-Benz and BharatBenz buses and trucks. He calls it "the biggest life-changing moment I've ever had."

Here is the part that says everything: Sanjib donates ₹1,000 every month back to the school. Nobody asked him to. He does it because he remembers what the school gave him, and he wants it to keep giving.
