Babita Patar: She Was the Student. Now She's the Teacher.

Without SSVM, most children in Babita Patar's village would have had no basic education at all. She says so directly: "Many children like me would have been without basic education in this village."

Babita enrolled in 2001. The school funded her education from primary through graduation — twelve years, zero fees. She passed Class X in 2013.

Then she came back. Babita now teaches at the same primary school where she first learned to read. She teaches children from the same village, the same backgrounds, the same families she grew up with.

"I am grateful to management who provided an opportunity to me to pay back to many in my village, who would have missed the chance to learn," she says.
