On 29th July 2026, students across all 11 Art of Living Free Tribal Schools in East Singhbhum, Jharkhand, marked Guru Purnima with a Swachhta Drive in the spirit of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan - taking the values they learn inside the classroom out into the village.

Armed with placards and brooms, they rallied through village roads, spreading awareness about hygiene, waste disposal, and environmental care among the community. What started as a school activity became a village-wide conversation on cleanliness.

At these schools, maintaining a clean campus is part of the daily routine. On Guru Purnima, the students extended that discipline beyond school walls - the best offering to a teacher is to live what you've been taught.

The drive concluded with a collective pledge by students, teachers, and villagers to keep their surroundings clean throughout the year.
